Overview Letter from Benjamin S. Cable of the Department of Commerce and Labor to C.D. Spivak. Cable tells Spivak that an immigrant by the name of Rosche Schwartz arrived at the port of New York on the SS Pennsylvania. Cable tells Spivak that JCRS is advised to make arrangements to transfer Schwartz to JCRS so that they can examine her tuberculosis. Cable also says that monthly reports should be sent to him showing the progress of Schwartz’s health.

Hurwitz informs Hillkowitz that Isidor Schwartz has been a resident of Seattle, Washington for quite some time and has been stricken with tuberculosis. The city physicians advised Schwartz to go to Denver for treatment. Hurwitz states that the community in Seattle feels that Schwartz is entitled to the best care from the JCRS sanatorium. Overview Handwritten letter from J. Hurwitz to P. Hillkowitz. Hurwitz informs Hillkowitz that Isidor Schwartz was detained from the sanatorium, but is a deserving case. Hurwitz states that he thought Schwartz would be admitted to JCRS without any delay. Hurwitz hopes that Hillkowitz will be considerate and admit Schwartz without any further delay.
