Football: Winograd, 1929-1931
Bill 'Willie' Winograd, a native of Denver, starred in football at both La Junta High School and the University of Denver in the late 1920s, earning the captaincy of the DU squad in 1931. Due to his small stature, he never played professionally, but ran a furniture business on the Front Range for nearly 50 years.
Golf: Grimes, 1927 - 1940
One of the few notable golfers to come out of the purely amateur golfing culture that existed in the Rocky Mountain region in the 1920s was Nate Grimes. Born in 1907 in Denver, Nate excelled in golf at the amateur level, winning numerous local, state, and regional tournaments in both match play and open play, but he declined to turn professional.
Golf: Hyman, 1939-1975
Helen Hyman, from Denver, competed in local, state, and regional golf tournements, in match play and open format, throughout the RM region from 1940 onward, winning several titles and honors. She also competed in Equestrian as a teenager.
Golf: Marx
Alice Lewin Marx was a golfer well known in championship flights of women's golf tournements in the sacramento arean. she was the president of the Sacremento women's Golf Club and she belonged to thre Haggin Oaks Business Womens Golf Club.

Tennis: Hoffman, 1966-1985
Born and raised in Denver, Irvin Hoffman was the house tennis pro and instructer at the Green Gables Country Club in the 1960s and 1970s. He was especially active in youth tennis programs in the Denver area, teaching tennis to elementrary and junior high students throughout the Denver-metro area and writing articles on sports medicine in local publications.
Tennis: Loeb, 1979 - 1985
Larry Loeb, a native of Denver, dominated the local tennis scene during the late 1970s, served as head pro at the Denver Tennis Club, and represented the United States at the Maccabiah Games in 1977. He also competed in New Zealand during his heyday, winning the N.Z National Championships in 1979.

Tennis: Morris, Carter, 1958-1981
Fay Shwayder Morris, sister of golfer Dorothy Heitler, played tennis at a fairly high level in the RM region, winning several state and local titles, even at the relatively advanced age of 42.
