Abstract Rabbi Adelman was a member of the executive committee of the Rabbinical Council of America and in 1949 he was honored by Gov. Alfred Driscoll of New Jersey for his civil rights leadership. He came to BMH in Denver in 1957 ushering in a new era for the congregation focusing on civil rights, Soviet Jewry and disability rights. He also wrote a book of religious poetry. This series contains yearbooks related to Leslie Miller, Eileen Miller, and Florence Creamer Miller. Yearbooks are from University of Denver, Colorado State College (Colorado A&M), East High School, North High School, and Gove Junior High School. There are two books: The Voice of the Prophets by Rabbi C.E. Hillel Kauvar (with an inscription), and Adam to Daniel, edited by Gaalyahu Cornfeld. Both books appear to have been rebound, or have special covers.
