Abstract

One edition from October 23, 1998 of the Intermountain Jewish News with a piece on the Rose Hospitals 50th Anniversary. A large stack of photocopied articles and photographs pertaining to the accomplishments of Rose Hospital from its inception to the late 1980s. Copy of the Articles of Incorporation, minutes from first board meeting, hospital postcard, triangular "Spearhead" 3rd Armored Division Military Patch, and letter to General Roses' parents.

Abstract General Rose Memorial Hospital was founded in 1945. The hospital was named for General Maurice Rose, a Denver native, who had been killed in action the same year. General Rose was the highest ranking American officer killed in action in Europe and also the highest ranking Jewish officer in the Army.
