Abstract American Studies was established as an Honors program at the University of Denver in 1967. After much success from a small pool of graduates, the program was first offered to the general university community in 1970. The Center was founded by Rabbi C. E. Kauvar and Rabbi Stanley Wagner at the University of Denver. Collection contains correspondence and administrative records from the Center of Judaic Studies from 1975-1988.
