This collection contains the records of the Civilian Pilot Training Program at DU in the 1940s. Currently there are only two yearbooks of the 1943 classes in this collection. This material may or may not be connected to U037 School of Glider Flight and Construction Records. The two programs were started at similar times, but it is unclear whether or not the two programs were connected academically or functionally.

Abstract Dale Alton Hyatt was born Febrary 13, 1912 in Golden, Colorado and died in Denver, November, 2003. He graduated from South High School in Denver. Hyatt served in North Arfica and Europe in the 310th Air Service bomber group. The Dachau Concentration Camp was liberated by American troupbs on April 29, 1945. Contains Copy of November 1942 postcard from Miami with a Curtis Hawk P-40 on the front sent from Alvin to Louann Rosenbaum Miller and Stan Rosenbaum, his first cousins. Also contains an eulogy written by Rabbi Friedman for Alvin Rosenbaum, the first cousin of Louann and Stan. Alvin Rosenbaum was killed in August 1943 during World War II.
