Abstract Wife of Carl Hawkinson-Red and White Store -- Bought store in 1933. -- Collected money for water bill, telephone bill -- Packages wrapped to send to service people. Would call the store when there was fire, and we let others know where the fire was. Driving tests given at the store by Carl. In 1937 the Library was moved from the elementary school to a corner of their store.
