Oral history interview with Mert Williams. Mert speaks of his parents Mr. & Mrs. E.M. Williams coming here from Kansas in a covered wagon in 1902 with their 4 sons, homesteading, owning a brickyard [one of the bricks being used at the College were made in the brickyard], family working for the Calkins farm, hauling freight, working on the Madison Orchards, delivering the Denver Post, Santa Claus, Westminster Grange Hall, Community Church, streets, City ordinances, water, early recreation...
