When 93-acre Lakeside Amusement Park was founded in 1908 in the town of Lakeside, west of Denver, the cost of grounds and construction was $800,000, including a 36-acre lake illuminated by 20,000 electric lights. Attractions included a miniature railway, casino, ball room, carousel, swimming pool, roller rink, boathouse, concerts, fireworks, movies, Ferris Wheel, penny arcade, etc. One of the original officers of the "White City" was Albert Lewin.
