Eight members of the winter 1983 Crimson and Gold Dance Ensemble from the University of Denver perform a lift. The men are wearing khaki pants and button-down shirts, and the women, being lifted into the air, are wearing long, flowing dresses with buckled sashes.

A crotched doily made from a circle of beige cotton fabric with a turned under hem and ten intricately crotched circular floral motifs sewn onto the fabric with back stitches of cotton embroidery floss. Handmade by Anna F. Ginsberg Hayutin.
