Abstract

These brass Sabbath three-candle candelabrum were used at the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society. There are two Lions of Judah below three holders for candlesticks. The Sabbath candles are kindled prior to sunset on Friday evenings to provide light on the Sabbath. A Sabbath candelabrum is also known as a niro, the Hebrew word for candle.

Five women standing in front of stacked bags of meat are each holding a sausage and a bag of meat. The bags are labeled ''Xmas Greetins from K & B Packing and Provision Company and the Denver Post.'' Louis K. Sigman gave away an average of 60,000 pounds of K & B Packing and Provision Company meat annually from 1931 through 1940. This is a digital copy of the original photograph.
