Abstract Sam Bock (1911-1984) was a noted engineer in Colorado and Maryland. Bock was born in Denver, graduated from the University of Denver in 1932 with an engineering degree, and moved to Maryland during the 1940s. In 1940, he married Charlotte Ginsburg. Abstract Samuel Cohen (1845-?) was born in Wloclawek, Warsaw, Poland, and immigrated to New York City in 1866. In 1873, Cohen went west to Denver on the advice of a friend. He found little opportunity in Denver, and went south to Pueblo, where he stayed for a short time. Upon finding little opportunity in Pueblo as well, Cohen traveled to Fairplay, Colorado (in Park County) entirely on foot, where he finally settled. Abstract

Samuel Froimovitz was very active in Denver's Orthodox Jewish community. He was elected as president of the Denver Mizrachi Organization (year unknown), and served on the organization's National Council from 1939-1941. Froimovitz was the first president of the Denver Hebrew Educational Alliance and sat on its executive board until 1933.

File contains scrap book of photographs, newspaper clippings, correspondence, etc compiled by Martha Carson (1900-1972). Information and photographs of her family are also included with information on Lillian Cushing and the Lillian Cushing School of Dance. Notation on cover reads "put together 9/69" but there are numerous additional photos and newspaper clippings laid in.
