Thousands of people are lined up for a meat give away in Christmas of 1931 by K. & B. Packing and Provision Company. Louis K. Sigman gave away an average of 60,000 pounds of meat annually from 1931 to 1941. The meat distribution was done in front of the Denver Post Building at Sixteenth and Champa streets, Denver, Colorado. During the first year distribution in 1931 a crowd of 10,000 people waited for hours to receive a five pound bag of meat. Fifty extra policemen had to be brought in...
