Abstract

Composite photograph featuring a Polish passport and document along with a Dolinsky family portrait. The portrait photograph includes: Nechama (Mollie) Dolinsky Goldberg, her father and two brothers. This composite photograph was probably taken in the 1970s, however the documents and portrait date to around 1910.

Abstract

Members of the Isaacs family pose together in front of a blacksmith shop at 1327 Larimer in Denver, Colorado. Left to right Sadie Dorothy Isaacs, Abraham Isaacs, Charlotte Isaacs, and Grandma Pinter Isaacs. The family's residence was next door on 12th Street between Market and Larimer. Painted on the wall of the blacksmith shop is ''Phone Champa 3739'' and hanging on the wall is a sign that says ''Work team for sale.''

Scope and Contents I. E. (Isadore Elkan) Solomon was born on May 23, 1841 in Kruschwitz, Prussia and moved to Pennsylvania in 1858. He became a US citizen in 1865 and married Anna Freudenthal in 1872 after meeting her in Poland. They moved to Arizona with their three children in 1876, opening a store shortly afterward in the town that came to be known as Solomonville.
