Nancy Dorn presents humorous anecdotes about two events that took place during the University Park Community Council's annual Christmas Carol Sings at Observatory Park, Denver, Colorado, during the 1970s. She relates a story about a misunderstanding with an artificial Christmas tree, and another about the misfortunes of the members of a brass band who play their instruments outside in cold weather.
