Biography

Israel Miller was born in Denver to Joe and Rose Libby Miller Miller. He was a member of the livestock company started by his father Joe Miller (Joe Miller and Company). He married Rose Knight on January 24, 1928. He was He was a president of the Denver Livestock Dealers Exchange/Denver Stock Exchange. He was also a board member of the Allied Jewish Council; Green Gables; Beth Israel Hospital and Home for Aged; and was very involved with BMH. Hedied in 1964 in Denver and was survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Melvin Diner and Mrs. Iwrin Kornfeld, a son, Myron Micky Miller, three brothers, Jake M. Miller, Hyman Miller, and Ben Miller, and nine grandchildren. An obituary for Israel Miller can be found in an edition of IJN.

Abstract A large Jewish family emigrated from Wilna, Lithuania. Sam Miller was born in 1872 and died in Wyoming in 1946. The family emigrated when Sam Miller was nine. Sam's brothers Robert Lazar and Joseph Miller also went into the cattle business. Joseph Miller was the father of Israel Miller and the grandfather of Micky Miller.
