Abstract Biographical information on Solomon Bloomgarden (Yehoash) who was born in 1872 near the Russian-German border. Yehoash was a famous Yiddish poet, writer, and translator. He emigrated to New York in 1890. In 1900, Yehoyesh contracted acute tuberculosis and spent the next seven years at the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society.
