Abstract

Caroline "Carrie" Shevelson Benjamin was born in Russia in 1841 and died in New York in 1931. She had returned to New York from Denver, Colorado, around the turn of the century. Her family immigrated to the United States and settled in New York. Caroline Shevelson graduated from Syracuse University in 1881. After she married Maurice C. Benjamin, she relocated to Denver, where she was appointed by the governor to the Colorado Board of Charities. She... was a founder of the Denver Women's Club and the Denver Section of the National Council of Jewish Women. The file contains an obituary.
