Box 21: Middle Ranches Property Sales, 1996-2003

Box contains ownership, sales, and closing documents in well-labeled folders for various properties gifted to and sold by the University of Denver. All of the properties in this collection were originally a part of Middle Ranches. Middle Ranches was a property that was gifted to the University of Denver by Chancellor Daniel Ritchie in 1994. The property consisted of 20,000 acres of ranch land worth at least $15-million. After the donation, the property was sold piecemeal by the University of Denver to various buyers to generate funds for the University. All of the properties that the University of Denver sold and documented in this box originated from the Middle Ranches land donation.
