Kauvar, Doctor of Humane Letters; Bill Owens, Doctor of Public Service, he was sworn in as Colorado's 40th Governor in January 1999; Reverend Michael J. Sheeran, S.J., Doctor of Humane Letters. Remarks were given by Bill Owens, Governor, State of Colorado. The closing remarks were given by Daniel L. Ritchie, Chancellor of the University.
