Collection contains three women's two piece suits designed and handmade by Philip Soloway. The suits were created as a sampler presented to various fashion houses in order to sell his patterns. These suits were probably created in the early 1940s.

Abstract A woman's pillbox style hat covered with small bird feathers in turquoise, red, white and black. The middle of hat does not have feathers. There is an aqua-blue colored velvet bow in the front. An uneven aqua colored tulle covers the entirety of the hat and it forms a veil across the front. There is a hatpin with a black velvet head in the top of crown and a hatpin with white pearl-like bead head in the front rim. This view shows the front of the hat and the two hatpins. Abstract

Pink wide-weave veil whimsy hat shaped into a bowled heart to fit on top of the head. A large pink velour bow is glued to the crown of the hat with a circle backing on the underneath of the hat to hold it in place. The knot of hte bow is located at the inward point of the top of hte heart with the arms stretching to the edges. The hat is 33cm wide at its widest point and 26cm deep (from the inward point to the outer edge). The bow is 31cm wide at the arms and 18cm top-to-bottom.
