Bernstein Family Papers
Samuel and Heloise Bernstein moved from New York before their only child, Leonard, was born in Denver. Samuel worked in retail clothing. Leonard worked for Denver and Rio Grande RR for over 50 years. Most of the documents center around Heloise, Samuel and Leonard. Collection contains marriage announcements and certificates, death certificates, military certificates, postcards, photographs, and scrapbooks related to the Bernstein family from 1893 through 1966.
Daniel G. Magnussen Transcription of Notebook of Lt. Donald McIntosh
Born in Montreal, Quebec, Donald McIntosh was a lieutenant in the US Army who was killed at the Battle of Little Big Horn in Montana in 1876. Daniel G. Magnussen was a retired military officer, historian, and professor at Stout State University (now University of Wisconsin-Stout). Magnussen transcribed McIntosh's notebook, which he had kept from 1872 until his death in 1876.

Samuel Ralph Freeman Memoir
Samuel Ralph Freeman was a lawyer originally from New York. He was assistant to the Colorado Attorney General from 1955-1958, Vice President of the Denver Rio Grande Railroad and later as the assistant to the chancellor at the University of Denver. He was also president of B’nai B’rith. Collection contains memoirs written by Samuel Freeman related Samuel Ralph from 1929 through 2003.
