Abstract KATHERYN HERMAN Katheryn and her family moved to Westminster in 1951 and she began working for the City of Westminster as a file clerk on a part-time basis. She was elected as Westminster City Clerk in 1953 and while elections are stressful for the candidate her children enjoyed election time as they got to make signs and were allowed to stay up late on election night. Iver's father Andrew bought land at 68th Ave & Knox Court in 1910 where Iver was born. In 1947 Iver was promoted from Athletic Director to principal of Union High School. Iver spent 40 years educating youngsters in District 50 as a teacher, coach, principal of Westminster High School and for the last 25 years as superintendent of the school district

Jerry Royther served as director of parks and recreation starting in 1978. 'We tried to balance parks around the City, building first in one quadrant, then another." The balancing act was difficult at times, he said, especially with twenty-eight subdivisions developing and everybody wanting their park first." Royther talks of development of parks, recreation centers and partnership with Hyland Hills Recreation District. Park names connection with Westminster, England.
