Tin Cup, Colorado
A gold mining site from 1859, Tin Cup (near Gunnison) was reincorporated in 1882. The size and identities of the Jewish community may be deduced from names on gravestones in the Jewish portion of the cemetery. Six small children are buried there -- four children of Isaac and Leah Harris, and two children of Mr. and Mrs. Klauber. A log cabin was built in 1877 by Sol Bloom, presumably Jewish, and was still standing in 2005.
