Abstract Dorothy (Dottie) Bernheim Shipman was born in Pueblo, CO in 1918 to Isadore Bernheim and Edith Weil Bernheim David. She was the great-grandaughter of Clara Goldsmith Weil: the first Jewish baby girl born in Colorado. She received her BFA from the University of Denver, married and divoced Clifford Stanely Shipman and moved from Denver to Texas, California, and finally Boise, ID. She was active in working with the ADA to increase accessibility, especially with regards to the hard of hearing....
