The research, which was featured in The New York Times, suggests that the district attorney was more likely to pursue the death penalty against black defendants and on behalf of white victims. This series contains photographs and papers about the Sigman family and the K. and B. Packing Company in Denver, Colorado. Louis K. Sigman and his sons Sam and Morris Sigman distributed free meat from their company during the depression from 1931-1940. Most of the material consists of digital images that were scanned from two scrapbooks.
