Abstract

Two Premo Camera wood plate or film holders for the Premo camera that were used at the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society. The larger film holder was a 3A film holder that was for exposing postcard size photographs. The holders have two black sliders that pull out to make two prints. Between the sliders is a rust-colored paper. The film holders were manufactured by the Eastman Kodak Company as successor to the Rochester Optical Company.

General

Title supplied by archivist. ||The dimensions are for the frame of the larger holder. The frame of the smaller holder is 10.5 x 5 x 2 centimeters.

Inscription and Marks

On the side of the frame of the larger holder is ''3APREMO.'' Scratched on the front of the frame is ''AHL'' and ''Hammer.'' On the center card inside the frame in raised capital letters is ''The Premo Camera'' in a circle and ''PAT. OCT. 25-04'' and ''Manufactured by Eastman Kodak successor to Rochester Optical Co., Rochester N.Y. U.S.A.'' On each of the sliders on the smaller frame is ''Exposed'' on one side.
