Abstract

Diary for 1876, when he was a graduate student in astronomy at the University of Cincinnati, working with the 11-inch refractor at the Cincinnati Observatory, which had recently been moved to Mt. Lookout. The observations in the diary include his observations on the weather, his thoughts on religion, and working on the Luttle's comet. He also writes about the discovery of new stars that he observes and some social functions and gatherings he attended.
