Abstract A black velvet half- or headband-hat with a black veil draped from the middle of hte front of the frame. The wire and cardboard frame is covered with black velvet that has been glued and stapled on over a black nylon lining, and is shaped like an off-center bow, with a knot section in the middle, a large loop on the right with a tail poking through the loop, and a single, large, slightly pointed piece on the left. Abstract

A black velvet handbag with brass clasp and openings. There is a braided black silk cord attached to the brass clasp by two large copper O-rings to form a strap. A tassel hangs from the right side of handbag strap. The handbag is lined in heavy black silk. This view shows the front of the handbag. Originally belonged to Irene Stein.

Abstract

A black velvet half-circle shaped hat. There are four black velvet ''leaves'' covered in black velvet. Each of the four ''leaves'' has braid trimming around their edges. Highly decorative tulle covers the hat from the center back and would cover the face to eye level. A large black velvet covered button is at the top center of the hat. The label inside states ''Miss Sally Victor New York.'' Originally belonged to Sara Isaacson Ettenson.

Abstract A soft brim wire framed black velvet hat. The center back has an additional piece of grosgrain ribbon rolled tightly and a small ornamental golden ball stitched into place on top of the roll of grosgrain. The lining of the hat is black taffeta and it has a black grosgrain ribbon hat band. A black velvet wire framed hat with open square tulle, from the center of the crown to the back, covering three-quarters of the hat. There is a long piece of velvet ribbon coming from center front of the hat. There is a black velvet bow mounted on stiffened felt on the back. The hat has a hatpin. Inside label readss: ''Reggi of Wilshire''. Originally belonged to Sara Isaacson Ettenson.

Abstract

A black velvet wire framed hat with large black open square tulle to cover the face. Beneath two black velvet strips are eight half circle flower petals made from black velvet mounted on stiffened felt, then cut into shape. The hatpin has a black glass square on the end. A black band on the inside rim has a small white daisy in the center of the band. Inside the hat is blue tulle overlay. Originally belonged to Sara Isaacson Ettenson.
