Child's Sleeveless Light Green Silk Dress, circa 1936

Abstract Sleeveless hand-stitched dress for a child of not more than four years of age. The dress is made from two layers of light green material. The underdress is silk and the overdress is chiffon. The dress is rib-pleated (smocked) across the top with pink running stitches and the arm holes have chiffon binding. There are three chiffon ruffles along the bottom of the dress. An asymmetrical bow consisting of three silk ribbons (pale green on one side and pale pink on the other) are tied together...

Abstract

Clothing ration card issued to Marie Loewenstein. The front cover of the card is filled out by hand with Marie's name and address and stamped with the name and address of a shoemaker, "Clemens Polley, Bülowstraße 3." The inside of the card contains lists of articles of clothing and their value. The edges of the card were ration coupons and most are missing.

Clothing ration card issued to Karin Steinberg. The front cover of the card is filled out by hand with Karin's name and address and stamped with the name and address of a shoemaker, "Clemens Polley, Bülowstraße 3." The back cover is stamped with the date, June 19, 1940. The inside of the card contains lists of articles of clothing and their value. The edges of the card were ration coupons and most are missing.

Abstract

A single layer corset made from two pieces of cotton muslin and ten bones finished with twill tape to provide support for the corset frame. Satin ribbon and eyelet lace is stitched over the outside of the cotton muslin. This view shows the outside of the corset and the back lacing. Originally belonged to Flora Anfenger.
